A SERIES OF ARTWORK ABOUT DESIRE, HOPE AND THE RESILIENCE OF THE HUMAN SPIRIT

Rob Grad’s introspective, yet bold 3D assemblages contrast images of urban environments with nature arranged into multi-layered menageries of photography, paint, drawing and words. His shapes often feel like islands or continents awaiting exploration; layers of detail reveal places familiar yet wholly uncharted — nostalgic yet unknown. Each work is a transportive experience, reminding us that hiding behind all the contradictions and chaos, there is a world full of beauty and hope.

MEET THE ARTIST

ROB GRAD

“As a child of divorce, and a teenager who wrestled with depression, I was forced to ask the big questions in life at an early age. I’ve always wanted to not just survive, but to thrive. To pull something positive from my experiences. Collectors often tell me that my work is a source of hope and inspiration.”

Rob Grad’s artwork has been featured in major art shows and fairs from Basel to Miami and Los Angeles. He shows his work in museums, and is represented by multiple galleries. He has large-scale commissioned works installed on both coasts, and his work is held in numerous private and corporate collections.

“It’s everything we imagined and more. The texture, colors and multiple dimensions make it a marvel to behold. We could not be happier to have this truly dazzling showpiece in our home.”

We have seven Rob Grad artworks now, including three in the office where I work. They’re beautiful, but something deeper lurks behind the beauty. When I saw one of them at the gallery show, I sat down and stared at it transfixed for 30 minutes.

My wife and I fell in love with Rob’s work as it transported us to that magical realm of possibility that childhood promises. Rob’s artworks are emotional landscapes. The shapes often feel like islands or continents awaiting exploration; layers of detail reveal places familiar yet wholly uncharted — nostalgic yet unknown. Each work is a transportive experience

Hope Lives’ anchors my space and infuses it with color and positive energy.

It is even more gorgeous than I had anticipated. It just kind of floated out of the packaging. It’s as though you blessed it with some kind of magic pixie dust and sent it on its way and it still had some on it leftover from the journey.
