AN IMPOSSIBLE FIX FOR THE INSIDE JOB
ARCHIVAL PRINT SERIES
An Impossible Fix for the Inside Job is a meditation on the endless human search for meaning, fulfillment and connection — and the quiet ways we place our hopes in tools, technologies, and systems never designed to carry them.
Each work captures a different moment in that search: awe, ascent, and reflection. Through layered silhouettes, ancient symbols, and modern brands, these works hold a mirror to our longing — and ask, gently, whether what we seek can ever be found outside ourselves.
Explore the series below and step into the conversation between hope, invention, and the sacred journey inward.
A black screwdriver covered in TikTok logos floats skyward, crowned with angel’s wings — an ordinary tool mistaken for something divine.
Below, hands reach up, longing just to brush against its promised magic, the word commerce stitched across their silhouettes.
Ideas spread fast. Hopes go viral.
But the screwdriver — like so many things we lift beyond their purpose — was never built to carry us there.
Part of the series An Impossible Fix for the Inside Job, Non Propius Caelum(No Closer to Heaven) reflects the speed of modern belief — and the timeless truth that there are no shortcuts to the life we truly seek.

Sancta Quaestio(The Holy Search) is a meditation on longing — the ancient, unchanging quest for fulfillment, meaning, and connection.
Two urban figures gaze upward in awe at a towering hammer branded with logos known for a different type of search, crowned with a glowing halo. A tool mistaken for salvation. A symbol of how we reach outward, when the real answers live within.
This piece invites you to sit inside the tension: between innovation and inner truth, between worship and awakening, between the tools we create and the lives we long for.
This piece speaks to those who see beyond surface promises — who know that the most important journey is inward.

Visus Sed Non Servatus(Seen But Not Saved) reflects on significance, visibility, and the quiet ache no platform can fulfill.
A solitary figure bows beneath a burning sky, a graffiti-marked silhouette revealing the chaos within. Above him, a massive wagon wheel embedded with Instagram logos hovers like a rising sun.
Behind it, a second, larger silhouette glows — the imagined self he longs to become.
The figure kneels under the illusion that to be seen is to be saved. But no matter how brightly the network burns overhead, true fulfillment remains an inside job.
Part of the series An Impossible Fix for the Inside Job, "Visus Sed Non Servatus" honors the universal search for wholeness — and the quiet heartbreak of seeking it in reflections that cannot hold us.

Soothing blues and yellows from the ocean and a lily flower are complemented by a polished metal shape, hovering above the water. The title alludes to how simple it seems to live a peaceful, balanced life, yet in actuality it isn’t always so straightforward. This deceiving complexity is reflected also in the shapes and imagery, and evokes a sense of peace, weighlessness and limitless possibilities.
It comes with a wooden black float frame I handmake as a complement, but if you’d like to reframe it to match your aesthetic, it can easily be done.

We have eight Rob Grad artworks now, including three in the office where I work. His work is beautiful, but something deeper lurks behind the beauty.

It is even more gorgeous than I had anticipated. It just kind of floated out of the packaging with some kind of magic pixie dust leftover from the journey. Thank you for being your amazing self and always continuing to inspire.

I didn’t want just another piece of art - I wanted a reflection of my life and the things important to me. It’s an amazing work of art that makes me smile and reflect every time I look at it.
